City Center: What's Really Coming to the New Elizabethtown Mall

City Center tenant map — the new open-air Elizabethtown mall

Everybody keeps asking us the same question: what's actually going into the new Elizabethtown mall?

So we went and found out. Nate Bryan spent weeks digging through public plans, site listings and reports, we built a suite-by-suite map of the whole property, and then the two of us walked all of Towne Mall — every single space — as it transforms into the open-air "City Center."

Here's a taste of what we found:

  • 4 brand-new-to-E'town retailers — HomeGoods, Sierra, JD Sports & The Buckle
  • ~61,000 sq ft of retail this market has never had — two national TJX anchors at once
  • The enclosed mall is going away — nearly every store getting its own outside entrance
  • A talked-about 45-ft waterfall, covered patio + turf lawn, and the big anchors (mostly) staying put
  • The rumor mill — Burlington, Dave's Hot Chicken & the food-space question — clearly labeled as rumor
  • A new hotel and road work behind the property
  • And the live audience brought the real questions: "When does HomeGoods open?" "Is Victoria's Secret closing?" "Where's the roundabout going?" "We need a Whataburger!"
