This Second Saturday, you are invited to come downtown and ‘Celebrate Mom’ for Mother’s Day weekend! Downtown E’town will be buzzing with all kinds of different events and activities for families to come and celebrate Mother’s Day.
For Mother’s Day weekend, The Historic State Theater will have band Diamond Rio in concert Friday night, May 12. The movie ‘Stepmom’ will be playing Saturday. The SOLD OUT Mother-Daughter Princess Tea with Rachel’s Face Painting is scheduled for 1-3, Saturday at State Theater. It is a fundraiser for Mission Hope for Kids. Grace Church Elizabethtown will be having a coffeehouse featuring music with Matt and Joanna Black.
Author, and longtime Elizabethtown Resident, Richard D. Rowland will be in Elizabethtown signing his book, Unspoken Messages, Saturday May 13th, 2017. He will be at Akashic Awareness (address) from noon until 3:00PM, and Herb and Olive, on the square from 3:00PM until 5:00PM.
Unspoken Messages is a book about a journey through a cancer diagnosis as well as the strength and hope found in the animal kingdom. The book brings peace and hope to those facing major life challenges and renews stolen hope. Richard and his wife Jennifer split their time between Maine, where they care for her elderly parents, and Kentucky. Rowland is also a Vietnam Veteran.
