Police arrest person of interest after woman found dead in Radcliff home
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Radcliff police have arrested a “person of interest” after a woman was found dead in a Radcliff mobile home early Friday.
Radcliff police say officers responded to a woman “suffering medical trauma” in a mobile home on Smith Street near Dixie Boulevard around 2:15 a.m. Police have not yet said how the woman died.
Police arrested 45-year-old Thomas Maxwell early Friday. They’re not calling him a suspect in the woman’s death yet, but believe he may know something because they say he was at the scene when she was killed.
Detectives searched for Maxwell for about eight hours, stopping vehicles near the scene and checking IDs. He was arrested after officers spotted him walking on the highway about a mile from the murder scene.
Radcliff Police Chief Jeff Cross says Maxwell was arrested for charges related to an EPO violation.
“We have charged him with domestic violence, or violating a domestic violence order which was active, he being the respondent and her being the petitioner,” Cross said. “So we have him logged on that charge right now.”
He was being questioned at the Radcliff Police Department.
