How is 65 now

What's local traffic looking like on Mulberry St.?

I-65 TRAFFIC UPDATE 2:50PM: I wish we could be the bearer of good news, but the delay is now estimated to take another 5 hours. For Elizabethtown residents, the ramp from North Mulberry Street to I-65 is CLOSED. To access I-65 Northbound, take 31-W to the Joe Prather Highway. For folks coming off I-65 through Elizabethtown, take US 62 the 31-W NB, and go to Joe Prather Highway to get back on I-65 NB. We’ll update everyone when we get further. I know it’s frustrating, but crews are working feverishly to make the road safe again. ... See MoreSee Less

Prayers for all involved. First Responders please be careful in this heat.

Thank you so much for letting us know what's going on. Prayers for everyone involved.

Praying for all

Prayers for the driver and all involved. Along with the clean up crew!

I hope all of the first responders are safe and I pray the truck driver is okay.

Thanks. wow crazy!

Thanks for update

Thank you for the update

Thanks for routing to Joe Prather..big trucks coming down Wooldridge Ferry 🙄

Thanks

The truck has its load scattered over all lanes.i took a picture but it won’t let post

Around 5 pm two lanes were open. Once the bottlenecking at that point was over, it was once again smooth sailing northbound.

Me to be careful ok .

Be safe everybody it’s really hot

Clarification, I65 southbound traffic is moving smoothly? (Louisville into Etown)

How is the driver

There isn’t a single reason you can’t have a single lane open absolutely ridiculous

How is 65 South? Traffic slow for gawkers?

Crime Bulletin: We are seeing a sharp increase in thefts from vehicles, as is often the case in warmer weather. We'll have more to say about this in the coming days, but please take these simple steps to protect your property.

1. MOST IMPORTANTLY, don't leave valuables in unattended vehicles. We've had several cases where thieves have entered vehicles, but found nothing of value.

2. If you must leave valuables inside the vehicle, place them out of sight, preferably in a trunk.

3. Lock your doors. Even if there aren't valuables left inside a vehicle, most people don't appreciate a prospective thief going through their vehicle!

4. Stay vigilant. If you notice suspicious vehicles or persons in your neighborhood, take note and call us. It's sad to say, but historically, one of the reasons we see these crime spikes in the summer months is that juveniles are often the suspects. Keep close tabs on your kids. Parents need to know where their children are, who they are with, and what they are doing.

Don't be an easy target! Follow these simple steps to prevent our most common property crime. Stay safe E'town!

Bring. Firearms. Inside.

Our friends at WLKY are usually on the money...but today their weather map may have slightly exaggerated the temperature situation in our fair city. 🤣 Rest assured folks, we haven’t incinerated yet. That being said...the hot temperatures will likely continue, so stay hydrated, limit outdoor exposure during the hottest parts of the day, and please don’t leave children, the elderly, and pets inside unattended vehicles. Temperatures inside vehicles climb rapidly in this heat! #etownpdky #epd #wlky #780degreeswhat #bittoasty #mightwannafactcheckthat #wholefttheheateron #staycool ... See MoreSee Less
