Hardin County EMS Director fights back after being fired
ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (WDRB) — Former Hardin County EMS Director John Malcomson got emotional Tuesday night while trying to convince county leaders to let him keep his job.
“No matter what other people think, I’ve always had the best interest in the people that worked for me in mind,” Malcomson said.
But Judge Executive Harry Berry cited a long list of reasons he said resulted in Malcomson’s termination
“My loss of confidence in Mr. Malcomson’s ability to satisfactory lead our EMS is the primary reason for my decision,” Berry said.
Berry said Malcomson had a high turnover rate and bad moral, along with other issues.
