Celebrate the Dog Days of Summer in Downtown E’town

Second Saturday is partnering with Friends of Hardin County Animal Shelter to bring the Dog Days of Summer to Downtown E-town to help raise funds for the Canine Flu and other items needed to help run the shelter.

Downtown shops will be open all day Saturday, August 12 from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. offering great deals.

Running Soles, Wicked Eyed Women, and Karma Yoga are some of the businesses that are participating in this Second Saturday event.

Running Soles will be having a back to school sale on summer apparel. Their sidewalk sale will offer 50-60% off apparel and sports bras along with 40-50% off selected custom footwear and bras.

Karma Yoga will have a donation jar for the Humane Society during the grand opening, and provide classes all day Saturday that will be free to the public.

To the Nines is having a summer sale with prices to 75% off in stores and on the lawn.

Herb & Olive is hosting a 3pm cooking class.

Grace Church will also be hosting a parking lot yard sale!

The Vendor Marketplace will be open from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. during the month of August.

The State Theater will have a two showings of “All Dogs Go to Heaven” at 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tickets are 3 dollars each and all proceeds go to the Hardin County Animal Shelter. Plus you have a chance to win dog and cat prizes!

Friends of Hardin County Animal Shelter is asking people to donate items needed, such as: old towels/rags in good condition, bottled bleach, newspaper, kitty litter, blankets, cat food, dog food, Cat & Dog treats and paper towels.
