Armed Robbery Update

Yesterday shortly before 330, EPD units responded to Fast Payday Loans at 407 West Dixie Avenue in reference to a report of an armed robbery involving multiple suspects. Police were informed that three possibly black or Hispanic suspects had robbed the business at gunpoint and then fled on foot in the direction of Poplar Street. The subjects got into a red Mitsubishi Galant which was waiting near E’town Christian Academy, and then proceeded to flee the area. An Officer located the vehicle on North Miles Street, and observed the suspects throwing clothing out of the windows as the vehicle was in transit. A short vehicle pursuit commenced, with the car eventually being abandoned on East Williams Street and all suspects fleeing on foot. Police units from multiple agencies converged on the area, and all four suspects were eventually captured. Further investigation revealed that the suspects had entered the business, brandished two handguns, and ordered the lone employee onto the ground. The suspects proceeded to clear out two cash registers in the business, and then fled. Two handguns, cash, and clothing  that the suspects had thrown out of their vehicle were all recovered  from various locations in the area. The suspects have been identified as Dominic Hodge, 30; Patrick Kelly Jr., 47; and Pedro Gonzalez, 27, all from Radcliff,  and Freddie Nails III, 26 of Vine Grove. All have been charged with Robbery 1st degree and tampering with physical evidence, and Hodge was charged with fleeing and evading 1st degree in a motor vehicle.
