The Elizabethtown Police Department has been investigating at least 3 burglaries in the Hawkins Drive area, with burglaries reported in the 100 block of Murphy Drive, and the 800 and 900 blocks of Hawkins Drive between December 30th of 2018 and January 2nd of this year. Video surveillance captured one of these burglaries during daylight hours, and captured images of a male and female suspect. Watches, jewelry, clothing, and electronics were among the stolen items. On January 3rd, Joseph Walden, age 36, was located by police walking on Hawkins Drive with a backpack. A consensual search of the backpack proved to contain several items stolen in these burglaries. A search warrant at Walden’s residence in the 800 block of Hawkins Drive recovered other property that had been reported stolen. Surveillance in one of the burglaries captured the images of Walden and his girlfriend, identified as Grace Logsdon, age 25. During interviews with investigators, Walden admitted to involvement in all three burglaries, and Logsdon admitted to involvement in two of the incidents. Walden has been charged with 3 counts of Burglary 2nd degree, and Logsdon with 2 counts of Burglary 2nd Degree.
